Metro Praise

Metro Praise means "City of Praise."  The word "metro" is short for the word "metropolitan," which simply means "city."  God gave this name to Joe during his time in Bible College when he was asking God what he should name the church he was going to start.

The references in the Bible that support this name are the following:

Psalm 48:1, "Great is the LORD, and most worthy of praise, in the city of our God, his holy mountain."

Jeremiah 33:9, "Then this city will bring me renown, joy, praise and honor before all nations on earth that hear of all the good things I do for it; and they will be in awe and will tremble at the abundant prosperity and peace I provide for it." The city in the Bible refers to Jersalem both in the natural and spiritually.

Therefore, we as disciples are the "temple of God" and are a spiritual Jersalem in God's sight to bring Him the sacrfice of praise.  Also, we as the Body of Christ long for the day when we will live in the New Jersalem and bring forth praise to God for all eternity.
