Metro Praise's vision, "Loving God, Loving People", comes directly from Jesus as the two greatest commandments. Please read the following:
Mark 12:38-31, “28 One of the teachers of
the law came and heard them debating. Noticing that Jesus had given
them a good answer, he asked him, "Of all the commandments, which is
the most important?"
29 "The most important one," answered Jesus, "is this: 'Hear, O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is one. 30 Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.' 31 The second is this: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' There is no commandment greater than these."
Therefore we teach that man should love God in the following ways:
(1) Worshipping and Adoring God With Passion - John 4:23.
(2) Obeying all of God's commands as taught by Jesus and the Apostles - 1 John 5:3.
We believe we should love people in the following two ways:
(1) Helping people in their time of need like the Good Samaritan - 1 John 3:16-18.
(2) Preaching the Gospel with truth and grace - Jude 1:22-23.
By doing these things we at Metro Praise believe we can fulfill Jesus' desire for us to "Love God and Love People!!"
